What is KLTE Africa Academy?
KLTE Africa Academy is an online computer school based in Nairobi, Kenya, serving learners across Kenya and the wider African continent. We exist to make quality IT education reachable for anyone with an internet connection, with no campus, no commute and no fixed timetable.
Our courses run entirely online and entirely at your pace. You get video lessons and downloadable course notes, work through units in order, sit an exam at the end of each stage, and receive a certificate carrying a unique validation code and QR code once you have completed the lessons and passed the exams.
What separates us from a folder of videos is the lecturer. Every enrolled student can reach the person teaching the course and get help on the specific thing that is not making sense, which is the reason most of our learners finish what they start.

What courses does KLTE Africa offer?
Three learning tracks: Basic Computer Courses (introduction to computers, operating systems, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet and online safety, basic maintenance), Programming Courses (programming fundamentals, databases, web design, desktop applications and Android or iOS mobile development), and Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security (system security, penetration testing and staying anonymous online).
Are the lessons practical or theory?
Practical. The computer packages track alone runs to 35 recorded practical lessons where the lecturer works on a real file on screen, from typing a first document to building charts and PivotTables in Excel. Each module also comes with a written manual and a final paper so you can test yourself before the exam.
Do I need to attend classes in person?
No. Every course is fully online and self-paced. You study from a computer, tablet or phone wherever you are, at whatever time suits you, and you keep access to the material so you can go back over lessons whenever you need to.
How do I pay for a course?
Choose a course, sign up with your details, and pay from your phone. Your login details are emailed to you as soon as the payment goes through.
Is the certificate recognised, and can employers check it?
Yes. Every KLTE Africa certificate carries a unique validation code and a QR code. Scanning the code, or entering it on our verification page, confirms who the certificate was issued to and which course or masterclass it covers, so an employer or client can confirm it is genuine in seconds.
Who can enrol at KLTE Africa Academy?
